Knowing When to Ask for Help

MooseQuilts

I guess it’s my turn to ask for help. I appreciate the concern with my absence. I am embarrassed about dropping the ball with the Quilt Along. I love all the quilts on flickr!

Here’s what happened. It isn’t anything very exciting. I had too much going on and there weren’t enough hours in the day to take care of everything that needed to be done. It’s so funny because I would say to myself that it would just take half an hour to do thus and such if you just did it. But when there are a hundred things that take half an hour, there aren’t that many half hours in a day, even when you get up early – which I don’t like to do.

The Quilt Along fell apart because I had only had it half planned out in the beginning. In the past that has been good enough because I have been able to fill in thelast few spots after we started. It wasn’t good enough this time.

I had an idea if you are up for it! Because I still have plenty of charm packs that want to travel.

First, with the ones we missed, it might be easier to skip them and start where we are at. If you want, we can start from where we left off though. Let me know!

Second, since I don’t have the next quilts scheduled, do any of you who are doing the quilt along want to be the featured artist?!? Normally, I would give those who volunteered a free book, but you already have the book. SO I do have a new book that I need to show you! It’s been out for a few months, but that’s one of those things that I got behind on. Anyway, I will send you one of those for helping out!

Leave a comment about whether you want to skip the quilts we missed or play catch up.
AND
Email me (kluckau@moosequilts.com) if you would like to be the featured artist and tell us all about yourself and show and tell your quilt from Simply Charming Minis on my blog.

Thanks so much!!!

P.S. I have the prizes that were announced and not delivered packaged to take to the post office today. If you don’t get it in a week, let me know and I will send you another one!

P.P.S. We need to do a bigger prize just for quilts that are quilted. I think I’ll wait and do that with the next random prize drawing.

Glad to see you’re OK in the world, it’s less bright out there without you!
Let’s pick up where we left off and consider it an intermission, how’s that sound?

I was happy to see notice of your post in my email this morning. I agree with starting up again where we left off. I have not quilted any yet and am a little behind but I do love working on the minnies.

I am so glad to hear that you are OK. This is entirely up to you as far as the quiltalong. Those that already have the book can continue on their own. You can now concentrate on promoting your new book.

I’m so glad your back too! I don’t make it to blog land often but I have noticed you gone. Im glad things are okay and just busy!

Remember about a year ago when I won the other half of that jelly roll you made for that magazine and it was on the cover?? Yeah…I want to make it and now have time, but I have NO IDEA where the magazine went. Do you happen to know what issue it was and which one? It was that big star in Christmas fabric.

I’m off to check out this quilt along! 🙂
    Glad you are okay.

Konda—I am loving the quilt-along! Since I’m behind anyway, I’m releived that we had a time-out. Starting where we left off is fine with me.

Hello! I have been working hard to get all caught up. I am almost there. I think that the ones that are still making your patterns would like to just finish this quilt along. I would love to be a guest talking about one of the tops I just finished. Just let me know! 🙂
